Current Starlink Plans (Early 2026)

Starlink has restructured their pricing significantly over the past year. Gone is the single $120 per month residential plan. Now there are tiered options at different price points. Here is what each one actually offers.

Residential Plans

All residential plans use the same Standard dish ($349 equipment purchase) and are tied to your home address.

Residential 100 Mbps — $50 per month

This is the entry-level plan. Speeds up to 100 Mbps download. In practice, expect 40 to 100 Mbps depending on time of day and network congestion in your area. This plan has the lowest priority during peak hours, meaning your speeds will drop more than other tiers when the network is busy (typically 6 to 11 PM).

Good for: Light internet users, retirees, single-person households, and anyone who primarily browses the web and streams one video at a time.

Not ideal for: Households with multiple heavy users, remote workers on video calls all day, or gamers who want consistent speeds.

Residential 200 Mbps — $80 per month

The mid-tier plan. Speeds up to 200 Mbps download. Real-world experience is typically 80 to 180 Mbps. You get higher priority than the $50 plan during congestion, which means more consistent speeds during peak hours.

Good for: Most families. Supports multiple devices streaming simultaneously, video conferencing, online gaming, and general household use.

This is the plan we recommend for most residential customers. The $30 per month premium over the base plan buys you meaningfully better peak-hour performance.

Residential MAX — $120 per month

Top-tier residential. Speeds up to 400 Mbps download with the highest priority data allocation. Real-world experience is typically 150 to 350 Mbps. Highest priority on the network means your speeds hold up better than any other residential tier during congestion.

Good for: Households with 4 or more heavy internet users, people who work from home and stream simultaneously, large families.

Not necessary for: Most households with 1 to 3 users. The $80 plan handles that workload fine.

Roam Plans

Roam plans are for portable use — RVs, boats, seasonal properties, or anyone who moves their Starlink between locations. You can use them at any address without changing your service location.

Roam 100 GB — $50 per month

Speeds up to 260 Mbps with a 100 GB monthly data cap. After 100 GB, speeds are deprioritized. At typical usage, 100 GB covers about 40 hours of HD video streaming or 200 hours of web browsing.

Good for: Weekend RV trips, seasonal cabin use (a few weeks per year), and occasional travel.

Roam Unlimited — $165 per month

Same speeds as the 100 GB plan but with no data cap. Use as much as you want.

Good for: Full-time RVers, people who split time between two properties, and traveling workers who need internet daily.

Equipment for Roam plans ranges from $249 to $349. The Starlink Mini ($199 to $499 depending on availability) is popular with Roam users for its smaller size and lower power draw.

Priority Plans (Business)

Priority plans are designed for businesses and use the High Performance dish ($1,999 equipment cost). They provide guaranteed priority data and faster speeds.

Priority Local — $65 to $540 per month

Tied to a fixed location. Speeds of 135 to 310 Mbps download. Pricing scales with the amount of priority data you need (50 GB to 2 TB per month).

Priority Global — $250 to $2,150 per month

Same as Local but works globally. Designed for maritime, aviation, and international business operations.

Good for: Businesses where internet downtime directly costs money — offices, retail operations, medical facilities, construction companies, farms with connected equipment.

Which Plan Should You Choose?

For most homeowners: Start with the $80 Residential plan. It balances cost and performance well. If you find it is more than you need, downgrade to $50. If you need more, upgrade to $120.

For vacation rentals: $80 or $120 Residential, depending on how many guests your property sleeps.

For RV or travel use: Roam Unlimited if you use it regularly, Roam 100 GB if it is occasional.

For businesses: Evaluate whether the residential $120 MAX plan meets your needs before committing to Priority pricing. Many small businesses do fine on a residential plan.

All plans are month-to-month with no contracts. You can change plans at any time through the Starlink app.
